Our school population comprises both Tibetan children, and ethnic Tibetan children whose cultural, linguistic and religious mores resemble those of Tibetans. The latter hale from the more remote areas of Nepal.
In the 19 years since the school was established, the demographic picture of the school has substantially changed. We now have only 45 Tibetan children, 63 caste Nepalis, and 307 ethnic Nepalis, such as Tamang, Sherpa, Mustang, Dolp, Langtang and Nubris.
We have a total number 415 students, out of which 213 are day scholars and 202 are boarders. The gender distribution is even: boys 202 and girls 208. We have classes from Nursery through to Grade 10.
